KINGS BY ANY OTHER NAME
Following the Corp War of x30 – x43, the surviving corporations petitioned planetary governments to form The Union, a corporate-funded but (theoretically) autonomous, unbiased Solar government. Though its stated mission is to prevent another devastating war between the corporations, the Union’s 6 Ministry Sectors are not subtle about their true agenda: keeping the Omnigarchs and their cabals of executives in power.

THE UNION’S CREST
The crest of the Union undeniably represents the philosophies of the organization that wears it. The motto literally states: “Blessed are the possessors, from world to world.” If that’s too subtle for you, the 8 stars at the eagle’s base represent the 8 corporations that founded it. The eagle’s twin heads represent the twin powers of legislation and enforcement and the 5 discs represent the Core Worlds of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Terra and Ceres.

THE MINISTRY SECTORS
In the Ministry Building on Terra are the 6 administrative offices that regulate the Solar System, each one acting as a limb of the corporate stratagem.

MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES
This sector is tasked with the regulation of exploration, resource surveying, mining and agriculture. Its minister, Tsu Jiao of Terra, was once a population analyst at L.CO, and his loyalties still lie with the megacorp.

MINISTRY OF DEFENSE
Not only does this wing of the Union handle its military forces, but also the police forces of every inhabited world. Koe Kyung of Titan, the defense minister, served as a 2nd rank army commander for Kulakov in the Corp War.

MINISTRY OF MANUFACTURING
Tasked with construction, development and industry, this sector is headed by Hans Endika of Mars, who was previously the director of Shimabakuro, Tharsco’s personal vehicle department.

MINISTRY OF UTILITIES
The regulation of energy, water and transportation projects is this Sector’s mission. It is overseen by Rhee Harkaitz of Callisto, who was born into Susannah Rook’s circle of VIPs and worked for Juno-Cyto for much of his life.

MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS
The most notorious of the Ministries, Internal Affairs is tasked with maintaining civil obedience, undertaking covert action against terrorist groups and overseeing cybersecurity. Its Minister, Odessa Alessandro of Terra, is as enigmatic as her sector, and is seldom seen or heard from directly.

MINISTRY OF HUMANITIES
Perhaps the most influential of the Ministries, this sector oversees and governs education centers, news outlets and entertainment feeds. Nikola Kontos of Venus, the ministry’s head, served as director of advertising for Vesser Arcologies for almost 20 years.
